Swaffham CC (234/9) beat Aldborough CC (213/9) by 21 runs
With Aldborough a man down due to a rotating baby-sitting system it was always going to be a long 46 overs in the heat for The Greens. An early strike from Perry-Warnes gave the visitors hope but Hardy and captain Eagle dug in and got past a lively opening spell from Perry-Warnes and Allan. Read the rest of this entry »
Aldborough have drawn Frettenham at Home in the preliminary round of the Bernard Matthews Cup. The game will be played on Monday May 10th on the green. The competetion is a 16 eight ball over format. Sean Cannon will be arranging and captaining.
Aldborough travelled to Alliance Division 1 side Bradfield for what was always going to be a testing encounter. Desapite a strong Bradfield line up including many first teamers, Aldborough more than made a game of it and as the sun shone a good day was had by all. The AGM was held last night at the Community Centre and despite the miserable weather there was a very good attendance. With the club moving forward so quickly the evening was largely used to reflect on a most succesful year on the pitch and to discuss the developments off the pitch as The Greens continue to push for new facilities.
