As a long weekend of cricket spluttered into life on The Green,
Aldborough hosted a bedraggled (hung-over) looking touring team from

Aldborough 1’s called off but league race hots up again!
Unfortunately Aldborough’s game against Rollesby was called off which
left the first team short of what should have been an easy win. At
this crucial stage of the season it appeared that this may tip the
balance against The Greens as Hethersett and Old Buckenham both had
winnable games.
Acle ‘A’ vs Aldborough 1sts
Aldborough are now just one or two wins away from launching an astonishing title push after a big win against Acle and the A team ended their losing run with a thrashing of Diss B. Could there be more silverware in the cabinet at the end of this season? (more…)
With continued discussion of league restructuring and the possibility of The Greens being left next year in a Norfolk League with only the poor and ill-equipped, Aldborough continued to put pressure upon the leading pair in division One by defeating mid table rivals Bungay at home by 27 runs. Another successful weekend for The Greens as the 1sts continued their winning form and Cookies Sunday side won the Aylsham 6 a side tournament.Unfortunately Rocker’s 2’s were badly beaten against top of the table Rocklands A. All this excitement leaves the 1’s with a huge game on Saturday as rivals for 3rd spot in the league, Bungay, travel to The Green. Robbo is spending the week at a Buddhist retreat, meditating on how to turn the season around while The Greens have their first piece of silverware in the (non-existent) trophy cabinet! (more…)
